A Dose Of Perspective

Not sure what to be thankful for this Thanksgiving? How about the fact that you have a roof over your head, food on the table, and access to basic water sanitation? It may sound silly, but a lot of people in the world don’t have these basic things. Never forget that you are exceedingly lucky to have what you have.

This is my first reblog-but I just thought this little video was so profound and wanted to share. Happy Thanksgiving

Janine, thanks for posting the movie. We tend to complain a lot, and always think we could have more… and I guess we could 🙂 But we so rarely feel grateful for things that seem obvious in our every day life.

Thank you for sharing. This perspective brings an important truth close to home. I have been saving all of my loose change in a cup to give to The World Food Program’s (WFP) school feeding program on Thanksgiving Day. Each nutritionally balanced meal is only 25 cents. The other day I went through all of my old purses and found enough change to feed 23 children. I have a strange mix of sadness and happiness. The Japanese call it Wabi Sabi. Again, thank you for sharing this beautiful film. I’m going to reblog it.

Thank you Janine Russell for sharing this film. We must remember how blessed we are, and remind ourselves that we are global citizens.
